If you don’t know of a good movie to put on, let us take that pressure away from you. Below is the first part of our Top 10 favorite family movies that you can watch in your backyard this spring and summer!

#10 Blank Check (1994)
If your kids can’t stop watching Home Alone, Blank Check is going to be right up their alley. The plot is about an 11-year-old who fills out one million dollars on a blank check. Hilarious hijinks and pranks ensue. Plenty of bad guys and corny laughs, but great family fun.

#9 Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
One of the late Robin Williams’ best movies of his stellar career, Mrs. Doubtfire tells the story of a father suffering from a bitter divorce who disguises himself as a female for a housekeeping job at his old home to spend time with his kids, who were in the wife’s custody.

#8 The LEGO Movie (2014)
The first ever full-length LEGO movie was released in 2014 and found immediate success. The plot follows Emmet, (voiced by Chris Pratt) a regular nobody, who is mistakenly taken for as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the LEGO world. The LEGO Movie is fun for all ages; even parents will crack a grin from time to time.

#7 Monsters, Inc. (2001)
Similar to The Lego Movie, Monsters, Inc. will have audiences of all age crying with laughter. Having a baby as one of the main characters makes it relatable to children combined with the voice of John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Steve Buscemi help make it appealing to adults.

#6 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001)
Just four years after the release of the monster hit book, Harry Potter finally made his big screen debut. Harry Potter tells the story of a boy wizard who leaves home to learn and craft his skills at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although the series does take on a darker tone later in the series, the first movie in the series is perfect for young children.
